About this tool

PNG is lossless and supports transparency, which makes it great for graphics but often produces large files for photos. JPG is much smaller for photographic content, so converting PNG to JPG is a common way to cut file size for sharing or uploading.

Drop one or many PNGs and each is decoded and re-encoded as JPG in your browser. Because JPG has no transparency, any transparent areas are flattened onto a white background. Download the results individually or as a single ZIP — all processed locally with no upload.

Conversion runs locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to transparent areas?

JPG does not support transparency, so transparent pixels are filled with white before encoding. If you need to keep transparency, stay with PNG.

Can I convert many files at once?

Yes — drop a batch and each converts in turn with a progress indicator. Grab them one by one, or download the whole set as a ZIP.

Will the JPG be smaller than the PNG?

For photos, almost always — JPG compresses photographic detail far more efficiently. For flat graphics or text, the difference is smaller and PNG may even win.
